A Florentine workshop, since 1974
Valigiero Rosse began in a Florentine workshop in 1974 with a single conviction: travel goods should be built the way good shoes once were — by hand, to be repaired, and to outlast the person who bought them. Half a century later the method has not changed. Every bag is cut, stitched, and finished in the same workshop, stamped with the maker's initials, and sold directly to its owner.
What we make
The range is deliberately compact — travel goods, done completely:
- Weekender and duffle bags: vegetable-tanned Italian leather that ages from rich tan to deep patina, with hardware chosen to be repaired rather than replaced.
- Briefcases and work bags: structured for the commute and the overhead bin, with interiors laid out for how people actually carry — documents, devices, and the charger you always forget.
- Travel accessories: wash kits, passport cases, and garment sleeves in matching leather, the small pieces that outlive the trips they serve.
How we sell
We sell direct-to-owner with no retail markup, which is how a workshop brand can put this much handwork into a bag at a fair price. Every piece carries a lifetime structural warranty covering stitching and construction — including repairs, done in the same workshop, by people who know the bag because they may have made it. Orders from our archive books show the warranty honored on pieces bought decades ago; that is the whole argument for buying this way.
A suitcase should survive its contents' fashion. Valigiero Rosse builds leather travel goods in Florence the way they were built when that was simply how things were made — and warranties them for life.
